COUNTY READY TO MONITOR COASTAL WATERWAYS STARTING MAY 30TH

The Cape May County Department of Health will soon begin its coastal monitoring program.  The program kicks off on May 30th and requires the County to routinely test 61 ocean and one back bay site for water quality. ##

LOWER TWP. POLICE CHARGE MAN WITH DRUG OFFENSES

Lower Township Police have charged a 26 year old man from North Cape May with multiple drug offenses following a motor vehicle stop 12 days ago.  Brendon Glinecke was arrested after police found drugs in his vehicle.  Glinecke resisted arrest and was eventually processed on several criminal charges. ##

STATE PRIVATIZES ATLANTIC CITY’S TRASH COLLECTION SERVICES

The State of New Jersey decided to privatize Atlantic City’s trash collection services without approval from City Council.  A three year deal has been awarded to Gold Medal Environmental, according to the Press of Atlantic City.  Council meets next tomorrow. ##

SPORTS: OCEAN CITY KNOCKS OFF MIDDLE TWP. IN GIRLS’ LACROSSE

Two of the best girls lacrosse teams in South Jersey squared off in Ocean City Monday with the host Lady Red Raiders knocking off Middle Township, 13-8.  Ocean City improved to 15-2 on the season, while Middle Township fell to 14-2.  Ocean City led by a goal at the half. ##
