WILD WEATHER START TO WEEKEND, POSSIBLE TWISTERS IN SOUTH JERSEY

It was a wild start to the weekend in South Jersey, every place but our southern shore region.  Confirmations are pending on possible tornadoes that touched down in South Jersey, including one as close as Pemberton Township, Burlington County.  There is widespread property damage, but no injuries. ##

SEARS CLOSES ONE STORE IN NJ, OTHER SURVIVE

The parent company of Sears and Kmart is closing 20 additional stores, including a Sears located in Watchung.  All of the remaining Sears stores, including those in our area, are safe for now.  The Sears in Vineland is slated to close in a few months. ##

CAPE MAY COUNTY MAN VICTIM OF FATAL ROUTE 55 CRASH

MIDDLE TWP. MAN GETS 17 YEARS IN PRISON FOR ROBBERY

It’s 17 years in the can for 39 year old Jermaine Mills of Middle Township who was sentenced Friday for robbery and witness tampering.  County Prosecutor Robert Taylor announced that Mills held a victim at gunpoint three years ago and then tried to force witnesses to change their stories. ##
