DOGS, REJOICE! WILDWOOD TO EXPAND DOG BEACH THIS SUMMER

Wildwood is moving its dog beach to provide a bigger play area for the dogs, and their owners.  City Commissioner Pete Byron announced that the dog beach will be moving from Poplar Avenue to another unannounced location where the popular red fire hydrant will also be moved. ##

AVALON/STONE HARBOR DREDGED USED FOR SAFETY TRAINING

A dredge that is doing a major beach fill project in Avalon and Stone Harbor was used for an important safety training exercise on Thursday.  The Cape May County Regional Search Team went on board the dredge “Texas” to conduct a demonstration on how to make safe rescues in confined spaces. ##

LOWER TOWNSHIP COUNCIL APPROVES ABANDONED PROPERTY ORDINANCE

The Lower Township Council approved a new abandoned property ordinance during its meeting Monday night.  The ordinance requires property owners to register with the Township, and also provides that the grounds must be maintained and officials have access to these properties. ##

LOWER TOWNSHIP INVESTIGATION NETS TWO ARRESTS FOR DRUGS
