A suspicious fire over the weekend at the Bayview Inn and Suites in Atlantic City, the troubled motel where an alligator was found in the pool last week. Firefighters say the blaze was contained to one room at the motel and there were no injuries; the motel is being boarded up. ##
The owner of the former Revel Casino in Atlantic City is under investigation for allegedly placing fraudulent liens against a property in Florida. Glen Straub told the Press of Atlantic City that he’s innocent, and says the woman who owns the property where improvements were made was never his girlfriend. ##
A baby alligator was pulled from the swimming pool at the Bayview Inn and Suites in Atlantic City Tuesday morning. The Press of Atlantic City reports that the three foot gator was found in the pool and safely removed by animal control. The motel had been raided earlier in the day. ##
Casino revenues dipped slightly last month in Atlantic City. The casinos took in $268 million compared with $275 million during July of last year. The numbers do compare when the city had one more active casino last year, the Trump Taj Mahal.
