12 YEARS IN PRISON FOR LOCAL DRUG DEALER ANTHONY MARTIN

It’s 12 years in prison for Anthony Martin of Atlantic City who dealt large amounts of cocaine and heroin in the South Jersey area. Martin received the long prison sentence on Friday after pleading guilty to a first degree drug charge. Martin was busted in Atlantic City in December, 2015. ##

The Chelsea Hotel in Atlantic City is about to become part of the Tropicana family. The Press of Atlantic City reports that the Tropicana will purchase the Chelsea Hotel and connect both properties via a skyway bridge. ##

AC CASINOS COULD CLOSE IF SHUTDOWN DRAGS INTO NEXT WEEKEND

If the state government shutdown drags into next weekend, it is possible casinos in Atlantic City would have to close. A regulation approved during the last shutdown provides a seven-day grace period for the casinos to stay open. But if no deal is reached by Saturday, it’s possible the casinos would have to close. ##
