TWO RESCUED IN SURF IN WILDWOOD ON SATURDAY

Two swimmers were rescued from the surf in Wildwood Saturday afternoon. The Wildwood Fire Department reports that the swimmers were clinging to a boogie board in the area of Youngs Avenue and the beach shortly after 3pm Saturday. REPORT: OVER 15,000 DOGS AND CATS EUTHANIZED LAST YEAR IN NJ

CAPE MAY COUNCIL TO AMEND POWERS OF MAYOR, ADJUST CONSTRUCTION FEES

Cape May’s city council will meet Tuesday evening and is expected to hold a second reading of an ordinance that will amend regulations involving the powers of the position of mayor in the resort. Council may also approve an ordinance that would adjust construction permit fees in the city. Tuesday’s meeting starts at 6:00pm.
