SPORTS: LADY CRUSADERS PLAY FOR STATE TITLE SUNDAY AFTERNOON

The Wildwood Catholic softball team will play for the Non Public B state championship Sunday afternoon at Kean University.  State officials announced that the Lady Crusaders will battle Immaculate Conception of Lodi, the defending state champs, at 2:30pm. ##

12 BUSTED IN ATLANTIC CITY DURING DRUG SWEEP

A dozen people were arrested and charged with peddling drugs in Atlantic City this week during a drug sweep.  City police say ten suspects possessed or were dealing heroin, while two others were involved in a drug deal witnessed by police. ##

REPORT: BATTLE BREWING IN NJ OVER SUMMER FLOUNDER LIMITS

There is a battle brewing between the State of New Jersey and federal regulators regarding regulations dealing with the catch of summer flounder.  The Press of Atlantic City reports that the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission disagrees with the state’s regulations, and a moratorium on fluke fishing is being considered. ##

ELECTRIC BILLS SET TO GO DOWN THIS MONTH

The price you pay for electricity is about to go down.  Atlantic City Electric announced that a decrease in electric bills is coming at the rate of 5.3 percent.  The typical residential home could see its bill drop by over seven dollars. ##
