MAYOR PARASAILING EVENT POSTPONED UNTIL SATURDAY IN STONE HARBOR

Stone Harbor Mayor Judy Davies Dunhour will parasail onto the beaches in her community on Saturday, instead of Friday.  Rough sea conditions have postponed the event by a day; Davies Dunhour will welcome visitors to the beaches at the 95th Street beach at Noon Saturday. ##

OCEAN CITY TO SPEND $18.5 MILLION ON CAPITAL PROJECTS

Ocean City will spend over $18 million for various capital improvement projects.  City Council met this week and approved funding for a back bay dredging project, a fire truck, and other essentials.  There was no public comment against the bond ordinance. ##

2017 HURRICANES? MORE, OR LESS, DEPENDING ON WHO YOU LISTEN TO

Hurricane season begins next week, and depending on who you listen to, it could be a very active or moderate hurricane season.  The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is predicting a very active hurricane season in the Atlantic; but other agencies including Accuweather and Colorado State University are predicting mild hurricane seasons. ##

POLL: GUADAGNO, MURPHY LIKELY TO SECURE GUBERNATORIAL NOMIANTIONS

Republican Kim Guadagno and democrat Phil Murphy are likely to secure their party’s nominations for governor in the June primary. A new poll released by Stockton University gives both candidates double digit leads over their respective opponents.  About one in seven New Jersey voters even bothered to watch recent debates. ##
