OFFIICALS: NUKE WARNING WAS SENT OUT IN ERROR

An emergency alert sent across televisions in Cumberland and Salem counties last night about a major problem at the Salem Nuclear Power Plant was a mistake.  The New Jersey Office of Emergency Management announced that the warning was an error, and quickly acted to correct its mistake last night. ##

VINELAND FIRE CHIEF TO RETIRE JUNE 1ST

Vineland Fire Chief Robert Pagnini will retire at the end of the month.  City Council met Tuesday and confirmed Pagnini’s retirement from the department for which he has served as chief for the past 11 years. ##

WIDESPREAD MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY NIGHT

The National Weather Service is calling for the chance of widespread minor coastal flooding Wednesday night in barrier island communities.  High tide on the back bays will occur Wednesday shortly after 7:30pm where the minor coastal flooding is most likely. ##

SPORTS: MIDDLE GIRLS ADVANCE TO SOUTH JERSEY LACROSSE FINAL

The Middle Township girls lacrosse team will play for a South Jersey Group I championship Thursday afternoon.  Middle defeated Haddon Township to advance to the title game against Camden Catholic.  The Lady Panthers are 16-2 and the top seed in South Jersey. ##
