LOCAL AMERICAN LEGION POST HELPING HURRICANE HARVEY VICTIMS

NORTH WILDWOOD TO AUTHORIZE BEACH REPAIRS, AUTHORIZE DEAL FOR SEAPORT PIER

North Wildwood’s city council will meet the day after Labor Day and may authorize a new agreement for the lease and purchase of Seaport Pier.  Council may also approve a resolution that will result in beach stabilization and grading between 3rd and 5th avenues in the city.  Tuesday’s meeting begins at 5:00pm. ##

WOODBINE STATE POLICE TO TAKE OVER PATROLS FOR CORBIN CITY

The Woodbine barracks of the New Jersey State Police will be taking over patrols of Corbin City starting Friday.  A social media page maintained by the State Police announced that Woodbine will assume patrols from the Buena Vista barracks.  Neither community has a municipal police department. ##

HARVEY REMNANTS EXPECTED TO IMPACT LABOR DAY SATURDAY

There’s no getting around it, Saturday will not be a beach day at the Jersey Shore.  Remnants from former Hurricane Harvey are expected to move up the east coast and impact our area on Saturday with the potential for nearly an inch of rain.  The rest of the weekend looks favorable, weather wise. ##
