AVALON BUILDS NORTH END BEACH, SAVES $7 MILLION

Avalon’s north end beach project has concluded.  Nearly one million cubic yards of sand has been placed on north end beaches with over $7 million in non-local dollars used for the project.  The last piece of the beach fill will be in the south end hotel district. ##

SPORTS: MIDDLE GIRLS WIN IN LACROSSE PLAYOFF, ADVANCE

Middle Township’s girls lacrosse team advanced in the South Jersey Group I playoffs Thursday by defeating Moorestown Friends, 24-7.  The Lady Panthers are the top seed, and next play Haddon Township on Monday. ##

BRIDGETON MAN JAILED FOR ARSON FIRE AT HIGH RISE

61 year old Bruce A. Cisrow of Bridgeton has been jailed on charges that he tried to set his high rise apartment building on fire earlier this week.  Cisrow also threw a chair at a responding firefighter. He’s been charged with aggravated arson and other offenses. ##

GOP GUBERNATORIAL CANDIDATES SQUARE OFF FOR LAST TIME

The two GOP gubernatorial candidates squared off one last time Thursday night in a debate.  Republican frontrunner Kim Guadagno continued to push for her tax reform plan while Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli called the plan irresponsible. ##
