REPORT: ATLANTIC CITY RECEIVES FOUR APPLICANTS FOR BADER FIELD

Atlantic  City has received four applications for the potential redevelopment of Bader Field.  The Press of Atlantic City reports that all four applications were due by Monday morning; one came from a minor league baseball team while a second came from Glenn Straub, the former owner of the Revel Casino. ##

DEMOCRATS TO PICK REPLACEMENT FOR SENATOR WHELAN SEPTEMBER 5

Atlantic County democrats will gather the day after Labor Day to pick a replacement for the late State Senator James Whelan.  Whelan passed away last week from a heart attack; voters will fill his seat during the November election. ##

TWO TEENS BUSTED FOR TOSSING ROCKS AT CARS ON AC EXPRESSWAY

Two teenagers have been arrested and charged by New Jersey State Police with hurling rocks and stones at cars on the Atlantic City Expressway near Winslow Township.  Police say the boy and girl are both 14 years old; they have allegedly been tossing rocks at cars on the Expressway for the past six weeks. ##

AVALON ENFORCING CONSTRUCTION TRAILER PARKING ORDINANCE

Avalon Mayor Marty Pagliughi says his community is actively enforcing an ordinance that regulates construction trailer parking.  Pagliughi says one trailer was towed last week after it was illegally parked, twice, in Avalon against the Borough’s trailer parking ordinance. ##
