HEAT ADVISORY FOR MAINLAND COMMUNITIES FOR THURSDAY

Sticky, hot and yucky…those words can describe the conditions outside on mainland communities in Cape May County on Thursday. The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory from 11am until 8pm Thursday with heat indices approaching 103 degrees. It will be slightly cooler along the ocean. ##

AVALON DISCUSSES MUNICIPAL AUDIT, BOND RATING

Some outstanding news for the Borough of Avalon was announced at the Wednesday Council meeting. For the eighth consecutive year, Avalon received no suggestions for improvement in its municipal audit. Business Administrator Scott Wahl also announced Avalon has maintained its AAA bond rating from Standard and Poor’s. ##
