Congressman Frank LoBiondo on Friday reaffirmed his opposition to any offshore drilling for fuel along the eastern seaboard.  President Trump may call for offshore drilling off the coast of the United States to further reduce America’s dependence on foreign oil. ##

Avalon and other communities around Cape May County celebrated Arbor Day on Friday.  Avalon Mayor Martin Pagliughi joined the Avalon Garden Club for the planting of a new honey locust tree located on a Dune Drive median at 66th Street. ##

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP POLICE BUST TEEN FOR CAR BURGLARIES

An 18 year old man from Hamilton Township has been arrested and charged with multiple car burglaries in the community.  Police say Isaiah Gray was arrested early Friday morning along Pennington Avenue; he’s been charged with breaking in to three vehicles. ##

STATE POLICE EMPLOYEE ADMITS TO CHILD SEX ASSAULT

A civilian employee of the New Jersey State Police has confessed to a child sexual assault and to charges that he videotaped another minor using a shower.  39 year old Milton Cortina of Egg Harbor Township pleaded guilty to the charges; he could face 20 years in jail and a loss of employment. ##
