CAPE MAY COUNTY MAN VICTIM OF FATAL ROUTE 55 CRASH

MIDDLE TWP. MAN GETS 17 YEARS IN PRISON FOR ROBBERY

It’s 17 years in the can for 39 year old Jermaine Mills of Middle Township who was sentenced Friday for robbery and witness tampering.  County Prosecutor Robert Taylor announced that Mills held a victim at gunpoint three years ago and then tried to force witnesses to change their stories. ##

OPEN AGAIN: TOWNSEND’S INLET BRIDGE OPENS

The Townsend’s Inlet Bridge between Avalon and Sea Isle City is open again.  Traffic started flowing over the bridge Friday after 4pm following a nearly three month shutdown of the span for emergency structural repairs by the County of Cape May. ##

SPORTS: PITMAN SUSPENDS VARSITY FOOTBALL PROGRAM

No varsity football this fall for Pitman High School which regularly plays Wildwood and Middle Township.  The school will compete only on a junior varsity level due to a young, small roster. ##
