TOURISM ACCOUNTS FOR OVER 26,000 JOBS IN CAPE MAY COUNTY

Tourism accounts for just over 26,000 jobs in Cape May County.  A new report from NJ Spotlight shows that one out of every ten jobs in New Jersey is connected to tourism, and Cape May County is behind only Atlantic and Ocean counties for the number of tourism-based jobs. ##

SOLAR ECLIPSE DAY: BEST VIEWING IN SOUTH JERSEY

Monday’s solar eclipse in South Jersey will begin at 1:23pm with maximum blockage of the sun occurring around 2:46pm.  Approximately 75 percent of the sun will be obscured in our region during the eclipse.  The entire event will be over just after 4:00pm. ##

NO WINNER AGAIN, POWERBALL SWELLS TO $650 MILLION

What would you do with $650 million?  That’s the jackpot up for grabs during Wednesday’s Powerball lottery since there were again no winners in the drawing on Saturday night.  The odds against winning the jackpot are 292.2 million to one. ##

BRIDGETON MAN INDICTED ON SECOND MURDER CHARGE

A 29 year old Bridgeton man who’s already in jail on a murder charge is now accused in a second killing.  Raheem Jacobs was charged in connection with the murder of Jeron King last week.  King was killed with a single gunshot to the head at a party back in 2015. ##
