ATLANTIC CITY RESIDENTS BATTLING SALE OF WATER AUTHORITY

Petitions that include over 2,400 names were turned in to the clerk’s office in Atlantic City as residents line up to oppose a plan to sell the city’s water authority.  Residents are seeking a public referendum on the plan which they say has strong opposition from voters in the city. ##

WILDWOOD CREST ANNOUNCES SUMMER CONCERT SERIES

Tribute bands for the Eagles, Bruce Springsteen, U2, and more.  Wildwood Crest officials have announced their lineup for the summer concert series that begins on June 24th with a free concert from the Chatterband.  Free concerts will be held every Saturday night at Centennial Park. ##

REPORT: STATE MAY PROHIBIT INTENTIONAL RELEASE OF BALLOONS

The New Jersey Legislature may take action to ban the intentional release of balloons outside because they pose a health risk to animal and marine life.  NJ.com reports that the measure is sponsored by Atlantic County Senator Jim Whelan, but is facing stiff opposition from the balloon industry. ##
