ATLANTIC CITY’S CASINOS SEE BUMP IN REVENUE AFTER TAJ CLOSURE

Atlantic City’s casinos enjoyed a bump in revenue during the fourth quarter of 2016 after the Taj Mahal closed.  New figures show a quarterly profit figure of $118.1 million for the casinos, which was up by over $18 million from the same quarter in 2015. ##

TWO CHARGED IN WILDWOOD FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT OF MINOR

Two Wildwood men have been arrested and charged with giving a teenage girl alcohol and drugs, and then sexually assaulting here.  Police say 20 year old Michlah Butler and 18 year old Travon Smith were arrested in connection with the assault that took place on April 2nd.  Both have been taken to the County Jail. OLD GETTY GASOLINE STATION KNOCKED DOWN IN OCEAN CITY

Ocean City Mayor Jay Gillian says an old Getty gasoline station located at 9th Street and Bay Avenue has been demolished.  Soil testing is next; the city wants to construct a park at that location combined with lots from two other gas stations that also disappeared. ##

WOMAN BUSTED AT MIDDLE TWP. MOTEL, 60 BAGS OF HEROIN RECOVERED

Another drug bust at a Middle Township motel on Friday.  Middle Township Police arrested 26 year old Alicia Hernandez at the Dutchman’s Motel and found 60 bags of heroin in her possession.  She was taken to the Cape May County Jail on drug offenses, and for an outstanding warrant. ##
