SWEENEY: GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN TO LAST AT LEAST A DAY

AC CASINOS COULD CLOSE IF SHUTDOWN DRAGS INTO NEXT WEEKEND

If the state government shutdown drags into next weekend, it is possible casinos in Atlantic City would have to close. A regulation approved during the last shutdown provides a seven-day grace period for the casinos to stay open. But if no deal is reached by Saturday, it’s possible the casinos would have to close. ##

ARKANSAS DRIVER RUNS INTO THE WOODS FOLLOWING DWI ACCIDENT

A 55 year old man from Arkansas ran into a wooded area after he caused a DWI-related traffic accident in Hamilton Township Sunday evening. Police say Steven Stewart’s car flipped four times during a wreck on Colonge Avenue at Lombard Street. Stewart’s vehicle hit another car but there were no serious injuries. ##

FIREWORKS TO BE HELD TONIGHT IN LOWER TOWNSHIP
