NEW JERSEY NETS NEARLY 5,000 WEAPONS IN GUN BUYBACK PROGRAM

New Jersey bought back 4,775 guns during a buy back program held over two days last month. The haul included 129 assault weapons, according to Attorney General Chris Porrino. Officials call them “weapons of war”. ##

MARGATE SEEKS COURT INJUNCTION TO STOP BEACH FILL PROJECT

Margate is going to court again to stop its beach fill project. Officials met on Wednesday and decided to seek a court injunction that would halt the project which has resulted in bacteria-filled ponds adjacent to million dollar beachfront homes. One Commissioner says this project is quote “killing us”. ##

LESNIAK: LET OTHER COUNTRIES GET IN ON INTERNET GAMING

New Jersey Senator Ray Lesniak thinks it’s a good idea for other states and countries to get in to New Jersey’s growing internet gaming market. He will introduce a bill that would allow gamblers in Nevada, Delaware, and other countries to play internet casino games that are based in New Jersey. ##
