REPORT: FORMER OCEAN CITY SPORTS STAR BREAKS NECK

Former Ocean City High School sports star Matt Fumo reportedly broke his neck in a swimming accident near the Ocean City-Longport Bridge. The Press of Atlantic City reports that Fumo was injured on Thursday. A Go Fund Me page has been established in Fumo’s name, and more than $42,000 has been raised to date. ##

REPORT: WHISTLEBLOWER SUIT COSTS WEST WILDWOOD $1.1 MILLION

A whistleblower’s lawsuit filed by the police chief in West Wildwood is costing over $1.1 million. NJ.com reports that Jacquelyn Ferentz alleged that former mayor Herbert “Chuck” Frederick interfered in police operations and even fired a cop who pulled Frederick over during a motor vehicle stop. A jury issued the judgement last week. ##
