HURRICANE EXERCISE TO BE HELD LOCALLY ON THURSDAY

A hurricane exercise event will be held Thursday in Cape May County.  The New Jersey Department of Transportation says there will be no road closures during Thursday’s drill, but there will be an increased presence by police and officials along the Garden State Parkway, Atlantic City Expressway, and Route 47 locally. ##

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY RESTORE OPENING SET FOR SATURDAY

Cape May County’s Habitat for Humanity ReStore is having a grand opening event in Cape May Court House on Saturday.  The store will open to shoppers for the first time, next to Big Lots and down the sidewalk from TJ Maxx.  Proceeds help fund housing projects for those in need. ##

PROSECUTOR STILL INVESTIGATING TEEN’S DEATH IN MIDDLE TWP.

Cape May County Prosecutor Robert Taylor continues to solicit leads in connection with the death of 13 year old Vincent Weiner of Rio Grande over the weekend.  Weiner was found deceased in his residence; an autopsy has been conducted but no cause of death has been announced. ##

TWO ARRESTED IN VILLAS DRUG BUST

Two adults have been arrested in Lower Township during a drug bust this week at a home located on Wildwood Avenue in the Villas.  Lower Township Police say they recovered heroin, cocaine, and other drugs in a home occupied by 38 year old Keith Chatelain and 32 year old Charlene Bell. ##
