PINELANDS PRESERVATION ALLIANCE TRIES TO HALT PIPELINE, AGAIN

A local environmental group is again attempting to halt a natural gas pipeline from running through the Pinelands.  The Pinelands Preservation Alliance is trying to fight a proposal to run a natural gas pipeline to the B.L. England Generating Station in Upper Township.  An emergency motion was filed on Tuesday. ##

REPORT: FORMER REVEL CASINO COULD OPEN IN EIGHT WEEKS

The former Revel Casino could be opening in the middle of June.  The Press of Atlantic City reports that new owner Glen Straub says he could open a portion of the former casino on June 15th.  The Revel has a name change, and is now called “TEN”. ##

VINELAND POLICE CHARGE MAN WITH ASSAULT BY AUTO

Vineland Police have charged a 21 year old Bridgeton man with assault by auto following an accident on April 9th.  Francisco Bautista-Bautista was driving her car twice over the legal drinking limit when he crashed into a vehicle operated by 40 year old Joseph Grassi near the Route 55 overpass. ##
