New Jersey Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno took a big time shot at her boss, Governor Christie on Monday. Guadagno says a photo of Christie taken on a beach that is closed to taxpayers during the government shutdown is “beyond words” and called for lawmakers to end the shutdown as soon as possible. ##

SWEENEY: GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN TO LAST AT LEAST A DAY

AC CASINOS COULD CLOSE IF SHUTDOWN DRAGS INTO NEXT WEEKEND

If the state government shutdown drags into next weekend, it is possible casinos in Atlantic City would have to close. A regulation approved during the last shutdown provides a seven-day grace period for the casinos to stay open. But if no deal is reached by Saturday, it’s possible the casinos would have to close. ##
