WETLANDS INSTITUTE EARNS DISNEY CONSERVATION GRANT

The Wetlands Institute has earned a Disney Conservation Grant totaling nearly $24,000.  The grant was awarded to the Institute for its proactive efforts to protect the Northern diamondback turtle population.  The Institute will use the funding to help eliminate some of the threats to the terrapins. ##

SOBRIETY CHECKPOINT PLANNED TODAY IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY

New Jersey State Police are establishing a sobriety checkpoint in Cumberland County today.  The checkpoint will be set up along Route 56 in Deerfield Township.  Troopers will be stopping cars to check for impaired drivers. ##

PRESIDENT TRUMP IN NEW JERSEY FOR THE WEEKEND

President Trump has arrived in New Jersey, and he will stay in the Garden State through the weekend.  The President arrived late Thursday night and he will stay at his golf club in Bedminster.  Trump was last in New Jersey as he was assembling his presidential transition team. ##

HUGE COAST GUARD COMMUNITY FESTIVAL TO BE HELD SATURDAY

A huge coast Guard Community Festival will be held this weekend in Cape May.  The festival provides an opportunity for the public to visit the Coast Guard Training Center in Cape May and take various ship and harbor tours, and enjoy other activities. ##
