GUBERNATORIAL DEBATES HELD AT STOCKTON, CANDIDATES SPAR

Candidates who are running for governor in New Jersey sparred during debates held at Stockton University Tuesday night.  Republican candidates spent part of the evening debating pension reform measures.  GOP frontrunner Kim Guadagno says it’s time for officials to sit at the table with public employees to discuss ways to save the pension system. ##

POLICE UNITY TOUR INCLUDES MANY LOCAL OFFICERS

The annual Police Unity Tour bicycle ride to Washington, DC takes place this week.  Police officers from many local departments including Ocean City, Lower Township, and Avalon will be participating in the tour to recognize law enforcement personnel who gave their lives in the line of service. ##

STATE NOW OFFERING REWARD MONEY TO BLOW WHISTLE ON CORRUPTION

New Jersey is now offering members of the public cash rewards for tips that lead to sustainable corruption charges against public officials.  Attorney General Christopher Porrino held a news conference Tuesday and announced a new anti-corruption whistle blower program with maximum rewards set at $25,000. ##
