DEMOCRATS FAIL IN BUDGET VOTE, STATE SHUTDOWN POSSIBLE

Democrats in the New Jersey Assembly have failed on their first attempt to get a budget approved before Friday’s deadline. The budget needed 41 “yes” votes, and received only 24. 35 members of the Assembly didn’t even bother to vote on the democrats’ plan. ##

Funeral services will be held next Thursday for former longtime service station owner Albert Cremin who passed away Saturday at the age of 63. Cremin owned and operated Crimin’s Citgo and Sunoco in North Cape May for a quarter century. ##
