BEACH DRIVE IN LOWER TOWNSHIP TO BE CLOSED NEXT MONDAY

Lower Township Police have announced a closure of Beach Drive from Lincoln Boulevard to Town Bank Road in North Cape May for July 3rd, starting at 3pm.  Police say there will be a great deal of pedestrian traffic on the roadway in advance of the fireworks display Monday night.  No parking signs have been posted. DEVELOPING: PERSON KILLED BY TRAIN MONDAY MORNING IN ATLANTIC COUNTY

There has been a fatal train accident in Galloway Township, Atlantic County Monday morning.  Authorities say a train that left Atlantic City shortly after 6:30pm struck the person who was on the tracks; train service has been suspended on that line, and a bus route has been established in its place. ##

BEACH PROJECT TO BEGIN IN VENTNOR THIS WEEK

A beach fill project is starting in Ventnor this week..just when the summer season is ramping up.  The project is starting about three weeks behind schedule to the availability of a dredge.  Some officials in that town objected to the beach fill project disrupting the summer season. ##
