OCEAN CITY PLANS MAJOR PROJECT TO ALLEVIATE FLOODING

Ocean City will put a major project out to bid this summer to help alleviate flooding at Third Street and Bay Avenue.  Mayor Jay Gillian reports that the project will cost millions of dollars, and work on the new pump station should begin in late fall. ##

SEA ISLE CITY FOOD TRUCK INVITATIONAL A HUGE SUCCESS

The annual Sea Isle City Food Truck Invitational was a huge success over the weekend.  Thousands of guests enjoyed various foods from trucks that came as far away as New York State.  The festival is one of many large food truck festivals happening in the South Jersey region this summer. ##

TWO CHARGED WITH SHOOTING AT FAST FOOD RESTAURANT IN AC

Two men have been charged in connection with a robbery and shooting at a Taco Bell/Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant in Atlantic City earlier this month.  Police have charged 20 year old Jeshua Sammons and 22 year old Bilal Freeman in connection with the crime.  An employee of the store suffered a non-life threatening injury. ##

SZCZUR GRABS PAINTBRUSH FOR PORTRAIT OF TONY GWYNN

San Diego Padres outfielder and former Lower Cape May Caper Tiger Matt Szczur is showing off his artistic skills again.  Szczur announced that he has painted a portrait of former Padres star Tony Gwynn that will be auctioned off at the Padres Summer Blood Drive on Tuesday. ##
