No varsity football this fall for Pitman High School which regularly plays Wildwood and Middle Township.  The school will compete only on a junior varsity level due to a young, small roster. ##

ICE CREAM STORE OWNER TAPED EMPLOYEES CHANGING

Vineland Police say the owner of a city ice cream store allegedly videotaped female employees in a changing room.  65 year old Larry Bostic owns a Cool Breeze Ice Cream Parlor in the city and has been charged with child endangerment and other offenses. ##

RAISE THE SMOKING AGE? IT’S NOW THE GOVERNOR’S CALL

Governor Christie will be presented with a legislative bill that would increase the legal age to purchase tobacco products from 19 to 21 years of age.  The State Assembly approved a bill that would raise the minimum age; Christie has before vetoed similar legislation. ##

NORTH WILDWOOD POLICE DEPARTMENT RECEIVES ACCREDITATION

A major honor for the North Wildwood Police Department as it has been accredited by a state program.  A recognition ceremony was held Tuesday in the city to honor the police department for achieving the three year accreditation.  Annual reports are required to keep the compliance in good standing. ##
