STATE POLICE EMPLOYEE ADMITS TO CHILD SEX ASSAULT

A civilian employee of the New Jersey State Police has confessed to a child sexual assault and to charges that he videotaped another minor using a shower.  39 year old Milton Cortina of Egg Harbor Township pleaded guilty to the charges; he could face 20 years in jail and a loss of employment. ##

SEA ISLE CITY TO AMEND OUTDOOR DINING ORDINANCE

Sea Isle City is working on revisions to its ordinance that regulates outdoor dining.  Council has directed its solicitor to rework the ordinance that may allow for an additional hour of outside dining until midnight, and may require businesses to store tables and chairs inside on private property when outside dining is not taking place. CREST TO UNVEIL BIKE PATH MONUMENT NEXT WEEK

Wildwood Crest will unveil a new bicycle path monument on Friday, May 5th.  Crest Commissioner Don Cabrera announced that the new monument will be erected on the southern limit of the path at Rambler Road.  Cabrera says this will enhance the experience of the use of the popular bike path. ##

LOCAL TOWNS HOSTING DRUG TAKE BACK DAY SATURDAY

Many Cape May County municipalities will be hosting drug take back days on Saturday.  Police departments including Avalon and Sea Isle City will be accepting unwanted prescription drugs at their police departments for proper disposal. ##
