FLYERS CHARITIES DONATES $13,500 TO LOCAL VETERANS ORGANIZATION

The Philadelphia Flyers Charities presented a check totaling $13,500 to the Citizens/Veterans Advisory Committee in Cape May County. The Flyers’ Director of Sports Medicine, Jim McCrossin was on hand to present American Legion Post #331 with the donation. The money will be used to assist veterans with emergency needs in Cape May County. ##

LONGPORT TO HOST SOUTH JERSEY CHAMPIONSHIPS TONIGHT

Longport will host the 78th Annual South Jersey Lifeguard Championships tonight. This will be the first time Longport has ever hosted the competition, which is considered to be the best competition of the summer. ##

OCEAN CITY TO HOLD NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING ON DRAINAGE PROJECT

Ocean City will be holding a neighborhood meeting on a major drainage project on Saturday, August 26th. Officials will gather at the Stainton Senior Center to discuss the project that will stretch from First Street to Eighth Street. ##
