31 YEAR OLD MAYS LANDING MAN BUSTED FOR DRUGS IN WILDWOOD

31 year old Luis Gonzalez of Mays Landing was busted on serious drug charges in Wildwood. City police say Gonzalez was arrested Tuesday during a traffic stop in the city and authorities found 2,000 baggies of heroin in his vehicle along with meth and other drugs. COUNTY SURROGATE NOMINATED TO BECOME SUPERIOR COURT JUDGE

Cape May County Surrogate and former freeholder Susan Sheppard is becoming a Superior Court judge. Sheppard was nominated by Governor Christie to assume a judgeship locally. James B. Arsenault Jr. of Upper Township was also nominated to become a workman’s compensation judge. ##

SPORTS: COACHING CHANGE AT HOLY SPIRIT HIGH SCHOOL

There’s another head coaching change in the ranks of high school basketball in the Cape Atlantic League. Holy Spirit High School coach Dennis Smith has resigned after winning 138 games over seven seasons. Smith stepped aside for family reasons. ##

CHANGE IN COMMAND COMING TO WOODBINE STATE POLICE

A change in command is coming to the New Jersey State Police barracks in Woodbine. Starting this weekend, Dave Liberto will be in charge of the barracks as Commander Douglas Pearson departs as a result of a transfer. ##
