KAUFFMAN TO BE ARRAIGNED ON THURSDAY IN SUPERIOR COURT

Thursday is arraignment day for Dr. James Kauffman in an Atlantic County Superior Court. Kauffman will be arraigned on weapons charges and a count of obstruction. COUNTY PROSECUTOR ROBERT TAYLOR TO RETIRE THIS WEEK

It’s the end of a career for Cape May County Prosecutor Robert Taylor. Taylor has reached the retirement age of 70 for a prosecutor and announced that he’s through on Friday. First Assistant Prosecutor Robert Johnson will replace Taylor. Senator Jeff Van Drew has the ability to appoint a new prosecutor for the County.

NEW FEDERAL TAX PLAN COULD COST NEW JERSEY RESIDENTS

President Trump’s new federal tax plan could potentially wipe out a big break provided to New Jersey residents. The new proposal would eliminate the ability for state residents to deduct the income and property taxes they pay to state and local governments. Critics believe it’s a $1.2 trillion money grab by the federal government.
