REPORT: MIDDLE’S HUNTER TO PLAY LACROSSE AT LASALLE

Middle Township’s hugely successful girls lacrosse program is sending a senior to LaSalle University.  Brian Cunniff of the Gazette Leader reports that Allison Hunter will continue her athletic career at the Division I university.  She will join teammate Bridget Ruskey at LaSalle. ##

DELAYS EXPECTED TUESDAY NEAR SCOTCH BONNET BRIDGE

There will be some major delays along Stone Harbor Boulevard on Tuesday.  County Engineer Dale Foster announced that work on the Scotch Bonnet Bridge which is midway between Cape May Court House and Stone Harbor will result in one lane of traffic being shut down through the day, and possibly into the evening hours. ##

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY RESTORE OPENING SET FOR SATURDAY

Cape May County’s Habitat for Humanity ReStore is having a grand opening event in Cape May Court House on Saturday.  The store will open to shoppers for the first time, next to Big Lots and down the sidewalk from TJ Maxx.  Proceeds help fund housing projects for those in need. ##

PROSECUTOR STILL INVESTIGATING TEEN’S DEATH IN MIDDLE TWP.

Cape May County Prosecutor Robert Taylor continues to solicit leads in connection with the death of 13 year old Vincent Weiner of Rio Grande over the weekend.  Weiner was found deceased in his residence; an autopsy has been conducted but no cause of death has been announced. ##
