SPORTS: SCHEDULE CHANGE FOR MIDDLE TWP. FOOTBALL

There has been a schedule change for the Middle Township football team, which kicks off its schedule next month. The Gazette Leader’s Brian Cunniff reports that the Panthers will open the schedule Labor Day weekend at home vs. Steinert, which replaces Pitman on the schedule; Pitman is not fielding a team this year. ##

45 YEARS IN PRISON FOR LOCAL DRUG DEALER

It’s 45 years in a state prison for local drug dealer Hector Ramos of Middle Township. Ramos was handed the long prison term by Judge John Porto. Ramos was involved in “Operation White House” three years ago that resulted in the collection of 750,000 bags of heroin, and over $225,000. ##

MIDDLE TOWNSHIP POLICE SEARCHING FOR JUVENILE RUNAWAY

Middle Township Police are asking for the public’s help with finding 17 year old Gabrielle Labaco, who was reported as a runaway on July 31st. Labaco was last seen wearing Adidas pants and is described as a Hispanic female with long black hair and a tattoo on her right forearm. ##

REPORT: FIRE DAMAGES RESTAURANT IN CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE

The BBQ Restaurant located at Indian Trial Road and Route 9 is closed until further notice. WPVI-TV reports that the restaurant caught on fire Monday night with flames shooting through the ceiling of the eatery. No word yet on what caused the fire. ##
