The National Transportation Safety Board has released a preliminary report regarding a banner plane accident in Middle Township nine days ago. The report indicates that the plane’s engine lost power and the 20 year old pilot landed it in a marsh. The pilot was certified to fly the aircraft. ##

The Middle Township Committee will be holding a special meeting Wednesday afternoon to discuss the hire of a special project engineer. The meeting will be held at 3pm; no word on the special meeting agenda regarding for which project this engineer would be hired. ##

Middle Township Police report the crash of a Paramount Air Service banner plane in Green Creek Sunday afternoon. The 20 year old pilot of the aircraft was circling to land when the plane lost power and crashed in the marshes. The pilot suffered lacerations to his head and was transported to a local hospital. ##
