BANNER PLANE CRASHES IN MIDDLE TOWNSHIP, PILOT INJURED

Middle Township Police report the crash of a Paramount Air Service banner plane in Green Creek Sunday afternoon.  The 20 year old pilot of the aircraft was circling to land when the plane lost power and crashed in the marshes.  The pilot suffered lacerations to his head and was transported to a local hospital. ##

MIDDLE TWP. POLICE: ROUTE 9 OPEN AGAIN AFTER ACCIDENT

Middle Township Police announced that a section of Route 9 that was closed due to a motor vehicle accident has since re-opened.  An early morning accident resulted in a motor vehicle smashing into a utility pole.  The pole needed to be replaced before traffic was allowed again on the highway in Cape May Court House. MIDDLE TOWNSHIP POLICE ISSUE TRAFFIC ADVISORY THURSDAY MORNING

Middle Township Police announced this morning that a section of Route 9 between Stites Avenue and School House Lane is closed to motor vehicle traffic.  A utility pole was struck by a motor vehicle early this morning and needs to be replaced; plan an alternate route. ##

REPORT: LOCAL TEEN DIED OF DRUG OVERDOSE

A 13 year old boy from Middle Township died from an overdose that included heroin and fentanyl.  The Press of Atlantic City reports that Jamie Lund, the mother of Vincent Weiner, confirmed the account of her son’s death on social media over the weekend.  Weiner was a local seventh grade student.   ##
