NJ GETTING OVER $55 MILLION IN RELIEF FOR HURRICANE SANDY

Congressman Frank Pallone says New Jersey is getting $55.4 million to clean up sand and debris from Hurricane Sandy.  Pallone says the money will be spent to remove debris and sand from navigable waterways throughout the Garden State. ##

NO WINNER AGAIN, POWERBALL SWELLS TO $650 MILLION

What would you do with $650 million?  That’s the jackpot up for grabs during Wednesday’s Powerball lottery since there were again no winners in the drawing on Saturday night.  The odds against winning the jackpot are 292.2 million to one. ##

WRONG WAY CRASH KILLS ONE ON NJ TURNPIKE SATURDAY NIGHT

One man is dead following a wrong way accident on the New Jersey Turnpike in South Jersey Saturday night.  The crash occurred Saturday around 11pm in Mt. Laurel.  A man was driving his vehicle southbound in the northbound lanes when it struck another vehicle; the identity of the driver has not been released. ##

REPORT: NJ GAVE LOANS TO SANDY VICTIMS, FEDS WANT MONEY BACK

A new report suggests that New Jersey inappropriately provided $1 million in home loans to Hurricane Sandy victims, and the federal government wants that money back.  The feds believe 21 home buyers were not qualified to get the assistance due to income limits and now it will ask New Jersey to refund the money. ##
