The United States Coast Guard is searching for a man who went kite surfacing in Sandy Hook and never resurfaced on Friday. Authorities believe the man may have been struck by a boat. Helicopters will continue the search on Saturday.
Two dozen people have died as a result of accidental drownings in New Jersey since late May. NJ Advance Media reports that most have drowned in the ocean; last week, two people died in separate drowning incidents in Sea Isle City.
President Donald Trump is expected to spend 17 days in New Jersey during what he calls a working vacation. There is a temporary flight restriction for the North Jersey region for 17 days near the President’s golf club in Bedminster. ##
