MENENDEZ TO JUDGE: STOP TRIAL ON KEY SENATE VOTE DAYS

United States Senator Robert Menendez would like to have his corruption trial stopped on days when he’s slated to cast key votes in the Senate.  The New Jersey democrat will go on trial next month on allegations that he accepted expensive gifts in exchange for political clout. ##

CHRISTIE SIGNS FANTASY SPORTS BETTING BILL INTO LAW

Governor Christie has signed a measure into law that regulates fantasy sports signs like Draft King.  The new legislation provides that the state Division of Community Affairs will have to issue permits to fantasy sports operators.  New Jersey is the 16th state to regulate this activity. ##

28 MORE KMARTS CLOSING INCLUDING ONE MORE IN SOUTH JERSEY

28 additional Kmart stores are closing around the country, including one in South Jersey.  The KMart located in Moorestown will be shut down along with another store in northern New Jersey.  The KMart in Rio Grande was closed during the last major round of cuts. ##

ONE POWERBALL WINNER, TICKET WORTH $758 MILLION

One winning ticket, worth $758 million.  There was only one winning ticket sold for last night’s Powerball lottery drawing, and it was purchased in Massachusetts.  The winning numbers last night were 7, 26, 16, 23, and 06, with the power play number 04×4. ##
