STATE LIKELY WILL NOT RAISE GASOLINE TAX NEXT MONTH

New Jersey likely will not be raising the State’s gasoline tax in October. The State is obligated to review the gasoline tax every year before November 1st, and all indications are the 23-cent gas tax will not be adjusted. The tax generates over $1.2 billion annually for the Garden State.

MURPHY: I’LL BRING TUITION-FREE COLLEGE EDUCATION TO NEW JERSEY

Democratic gubernatorial candidate Phil Murphy says he will bring tuition-free college education to New Jersey if he’s elected in November. Murphy says other states successfully implement this program, and he believes that our work force needs better training. Murphy’s plan covers only associates’ degrees.
