CHRISTIE ORDERS FLAGS AT HALF STAFF ON SATURDAY

Governor Christie has ordered all flags fly at half staff on Saturday for a Cherry Hill sailor who lost his life last month when a Navy ship collided with another vessel. Kenneth Smith and nine others were killed in the accident off Singapore.

NJSIAA NAMES LARRY WHITE ITS NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Larry White is the new Executive Director of the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association. The Association members unanimously selected White to serve as its eighth ever director; he has served as the assistant director for over a decade.

MURPHY HOLDS HUGE LEAD OVER GUADAGNO IN GUBERNATORIAL RACE

Republican Kim Guadagno has a ton of ground to make up in the New Jersey gubernatorial race. A new poll released by Quinnipiac gives democrat Phil Murphy a 25 point lead over Guadagno less than two months before the election. About 40 percent of the voters admit they don’t know much about either candidate.

TRIAL: MENENDEZ GOT EXPENSIVE PRIVATE FLIGHT FROM DOCTOR

Senator Robert Menendez received an $8,000 private flight from a Florida doctor because the doctor’s jet was unavailable. That testimony was offered in court Wednesday during Menendez’ corruption trial. Authorities are trying to show that Menendez accepted expensive gifts for political influence.
