GUADAGNO RIPS CHRISTIE OVER BEACH PHOTO

New Jersey Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno took a big time shot at her boss, Governor Christie on Monday. Guadagno says a photo of Christie taken on a beach that is closed to taxpayers during the government shutdown is “beyond words” and called for lawmakers to end the shutdown as soon as possible. ##

SWEENEY: GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN TO LAST AT LEAST A DAY

Senate President Steve Sweeney announced that the government shutdown will drag into at least July 4th which means state-run beaches and parks will remain closed for the holiday. BOAT FIRE CAUSES INJURIES TO OPERATOR IN LITTLE EGG HARBOR

A boat fire caused injuries to the operator of the vessel Sunday afternoon in Little Egg Harbor. State Police say the fire started on West Shrewsbury Drive and the operator of the vessel was being treated for non-life threatening injuries. ##

STATE SHUTDOWN CONTINUES MONDAY; MORE OFFICES CLOSED

New Jersey’s government shutdown continues Monday with more meetings planned and no end to the lockout in sight. Governor Christie has closed even more state offices including travel and tourism offices and courts. A special session of the New Jersey Legislature is being convened this morning in attempt to end the stalemate. ##
