CHRISTIE GOES BACK ON HIS WORD AGAIN, PAYS STATE EMPLOYEES

Governor Christie did exactly what he said he would not do..he’s paying state workers who were laid off temporarily during last month’s government shutdown. Christie signed new retroactive pay legislation and praised lawmakers who put the bill together after the state experienced a three day shutdown. ##

SEN. BOOKER WANTS POT LEGAL THROUGHOUT UNITED STATES

New Jersey Senator Cory Booker is supporting federal legislation that would legalize marijuana throughout the country. Booker has created a so-called “Marijuana Justice Act” that would remove cannabis from the Controlled Substances Act. Booker announced the legislation on Facebook Live. ##

ANOTHER BODY FOUND ON JERSEY SHORE BEACH

Authorities are investigating the discovery of a body that washed up in the beach town of Sea Bright over the weekend. The body was found near Anchorage Beach in Sea Bright; authorities are making a positive identification pending an autopsy. ##

FORMER STATE POLICE COMMANDER CLINTON PAGANO, 89

One of the longest serving leaders of the New Jersey State Police has died at the age of 89. Clinton Pagano passed away on Sunday after an age related illness. He led the State Police from 1975 through 1990. ##
