SWELLS, RIP CURRENTS POSSIBLE FROM JOSE EARLY NEXT WEEK

Sea swells and rip currents are both possible from Tropical Storm Jose here at the Jersey Shore. The latest forecast from the National Weather Service puts Jose’s cone partially over New Jersey Monday into Tuesday. Some rain and wind is also possible from Jose, which could gain strength in the Atlantic.

HIGH RISK OF RIP CURRENTS FROM STORMS

There’s a high risk of rip currents along local beaches today due to former Hurricane Irma and from active Hurricane Jose. The National Weather Service predicts seas will build throughout the day today that will enhance the risk of rip currents along the beaches.

ACE, OTHER POWER COMPANIES HELD SOUTH TO HELP WITH “IRMA”

Atlantic City Electric and other utilities are headed south to help with the recovery in Florida from Hurricane Irma. Atlantic City Electric, PECO, and other utilities are sending teams to Florida to help with massive power outages from the storm.
