AVALON, WILDWOOD PITCH OPEN SPACE PROJECTS TO COUNTY

Both Avalon and Wildwood made applications for funding to the Cape May County Open Space Program on Tuesday.  Avalon is seeking funding for a brand new Surfside Park adjacent to the boardwalk, and an expansion of its bike path; Wildwood is hoping for funding for artificial fields at its Maxwell Field sports complex. ##

REPORT: WILDWOOD CAN USE NORTH WILDWOOD SITE FOR SCHOOL

The Wildwood School District can use a site in North Wildwood for classroom space without permission from North Wildwood.  The Press of Atlantic City reports that Judge J. Christopher Gibson has ruled in favor of the Wildwood District, saying it can lease space at the St. Simeon Episcopalian Church annex in North Wildwood. ##

SIX COUNTY SOROPTIMIST MEMBERS ACHIEVE SPECIAL AWARDS

Six local women have all been recognized by Soroptimist of Cape May County for their individual achievements in the organization.  The six women were honored during a recent event at the Two Mile Landing.  Those recognized were Annika Marks, Allanah Moulton, Lois Harris, Emma Lord, Hibba Ahmed, and Hennessey Barry. ##

WILDWOOD’S HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL FARMERS MARKET READY FOR ANOTHER SEASON
