WILDWOOD FIREFIGHTERS FIX CONCRETE AT DAVIS AVENUE BUILDING

Wildwood firefighters pitched in to save the city about $80,000 as they repaired a concrete apron at the Davis Avenue building that was a half century old.  Firefighters took six pours of concrete to make the repairs, which totaled about 130 yards of concrete. ##

DOGS, REJOICE! WILDWOOD TO EXPAND DOG BEACH THIS SUMMER

Wildwood is moving its dog beach to provide a bigger play area for the dogs, and their owners.  City Commissioner Pete Byron announced that the dog beach will be moving from Poplar Avenue to another unannounced location where the popular red fire hydrant will also be moved. ##

WILDWOOD TO HAVE SPECIAL ABC MEETING THIS AFTERNOON

The transfer of a liquor license will be considered by the Wildwood ABC this afternoon.  A meeting will be held to discuss the transfer of a pocket liquor license from Therapy to the 21st Amendment Saloon Corporation trading as 2nd Street Annies, Sylvestro’s Back in the Day Dance Club.  The meeting starts at 3:30pm. ##

WILDWOOD ENJOYS IMPROVEMENT IN ITS BOND RATING

Wildwood is seeing an improvement in its bond rating, according to Moody’s Investors Service.  Wildwood’s rating has improved to AA-, up from A-2 that was earned in 2015.  The opinion by Moody’s says the city has very strong market values. ##
