TWO RESCUED IN SURF IN WILDWOOD ON SATURDAY

Two swimmers were rescued from the surf in Wildwood Saturday afternoon. The Wildwood Fire Department reports that the swimmers were clinging to a boogie board in the area of Youngs Avenue and the beach shortly after 3pm Saturday. FALL FARMERS MARKETS BEGIN SATURDAY IN WILDWOOD

Wildwood’s Fall Farmer’s Markets begin this Saturday. The markets will be held on Saturday mornings through the end of October; free parking will be offered for all attendees.

WILDWOOD MAY CONSIDER BARS IN ADDITIONAL CITY ZONES

The Wildwood City Commission meets on Wednesday and is expected to consider a new ordinance that would allow bars to operate in additional zones in the city. The Commission may introduce a new ordinance that would allow bars in the P, BA, and B zones. Wednesday’s meeting begins at 3:30pm.

MOREYS WATER PARK GO TO THE DOGS ON SUNDAY

The Raging Waters water park on Morey’s Schellenger Landing pier goes to the dogs, literally, on Sunday. Sunday is the final day for the water park to be open and Morey’s Piers invites dog owners to bring their canines for some water fun. Proceeds from the event benefit a local animal charity.
